Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is a critical component of our programming. Students participate in curated fieldwork experiences overseas (e.g., Jamaica, Ecuador) and locally (Montreal), and conduct hands-on learning through practicum placements in approved locations. The most recent group of students participated during the February Winter break, and reported truly positive and enlightening journeys.

Matt Brandon, PhD

Thank you, Dr. Vallely and Dr. Williams, for offering such an interesting program. The content of the courses covered diverse aspects of psychedelics and provided a great overview of the field. This prompted some strong reflections in my mind and made me engage with the material at a deep level.

Psychedelic Research

A New Paradigm in Mental Health

Psychedelic medicine is an approach to mental health care that is being reignited on the world stage. Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies have been shown effective in addressing a multitude of mental health conditions, including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction, end-of-life anxiety, and other conditions. We are working to extend this work to marginalized groups and ensure access to people of color as these treatments become mainstream.
